IPU Academy is an educational service initiative developed by the IPU to support you in your engagement with Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The IPU will take the lead in not only developing and delivering Continuing Education (CE) for community pharmacists but also in assisting you to demonstrate your on-going engagement with CPD.

If you are already a member of the IPU, you automatically become a member of IPU Academy. This membership benefit entitles you to attend, without charge, live learning events in the IPU Academy Programmes.

IPU Academy not only deliver CE in traditional presentation format, i.e. live learning, but also deliver CE in distance learning and eLearning formats. These formats allow you, as a member of IPU Academy, to engage with CE at a time that is convenient to you and remove the need to travel to attend a presentation.

The IPU will continue to engage with the PSI and the Irish Institute of Pharmacy, on your behalf, to ensure that the implementation of a CPD system is appropriately resourced. It is vital that the impact of a new CPD system is of benefit to both pharmacists and patients and delivers those benefits in a practical and efficient manner.
